Another Fifer for Linley at Awards Night

Tim Linley stole the show last night at the Surrey end of season awards, taking away 5 trophies.

The Yorkshire born paceman's awards included the Kia Bowler of the Year and the big one, the Player's Player of the year. After taking 83 wickets in all competitions in 2011, his awards were thoroughly deserved. The Viscount is a favourite around the dressing room and well known for having a laugh, but he showed in 2011 how good as cricketer he is and if he was 5 years younger, he would certainly be in the mind of the selectors.

Other awards on the night went to Tom Maynard, Gareth Batty, Stuart Meaker, Freddie van den Bergh, Jason Roy and Zander de Bruyn. They also deserved all of their awards to end a season that Surrey fans will remember for a long time.
